Mixing Tank Structure Instruction:
1. The mixing tank is composed of a mixing tank body, a mixing tank cover, a stirrer, a support, a transmission device, a shaft sealing device.
2. Materials such as mixing tank, mixing tank cover, agitator, shaft seal, etc. can be made of stainless steel and other materials according to different process requirements.
3. The Mixing tank body and the mixing tank cover can be Flange seal connection or welded connection. Also they can be fed according to customers’ process requirements.
4. Process pipe holes for discharging, observation, temperature measurement, pressure measurement, steam fractionation, safe venting, etc.
5. The upper part of the mixing tank cover is equipped with a stirrer driven by a transmission (motor or reducer) and driven by a drive shaft.
6. The shaft sealing device can be in various forms such as machine seal or packing, labyrinth seal, etc. (It can be customized based on customers requirements).
7. Due to the different production process requirements of the user, the agitator can be configured in various forms such as slurry, anchor, frame, and spiral.
Agitator Selection:
The agitator, also known as the impeller or paddle, is the core component of the mixing equipment. According to the flow pattern generated of the agitator in the mixing kettle, the agitator can be basically divided into axial flow and radial flow. For example: propulsion impeller, new airfoil belonging axial flow impeller stirrer, and various straight blade, curved blade ,and turbine blades are belonging radial flow agitators.
The agitator is usually inserted vertically into the kettle from the center of the top of the stirred tank, sometimes with side insertion, bottom extension or side extension. Different installation methods should be selected according to different mixing requirements

1.Propeller
This is a very common agitator to a boat prop which mixes material in one direction. It is a classic design used in many applications. However, there are many agitator styles currently available which are superior to this technology. They have limited reach and get very heavy as they get larger.
2.Pitched blade paddle
The shaft can be shunted and circumferentially split, operated in transitional flow, and has a strong vortex at the front end of the blade for low-speed agitation of high viscosity liquid.
3.Disk Turbine(Rushton style)
This blade is primarily used for mixing gases or gases with liquids.
4.Curved Turbine
This agitator moves the product into the center and then pushes out to the sides with an aggressive whipping action. It has a high amp draw and provide good mixing of particles. The agitator can be expensive compared to other types but is excellent for sweeping corners of a square tank. A Split Hub Design is available, as well as various materials of construction.
5. Axial Flow Turbine
This is the most common slow speed agitator. The arms of the blade are usually set as a 45 degree angle. Several blades can be stacked on one shaft so that this blade works well in a high tank. The blade pushes product down and then out creating a rolling action. It can be designed to pump up. A Split Hub Design is available, as well as designs for installing in a tank with limited access opening.
6. Straight Radial Turbine
This blade moves product to the outside only. The arms of the blade are set at 90 degrees. This style s commonly used at the bottom of the shaft of a square shaped tank. It draws a lot of power and does not move product efficiently. A Split Hub Design is available, as well as various materials of construction.
7. Angled Tooth Blade
Popular blade for dispersion work. Primarily a high shear blade. Efficient design which has proven to be an excellent blade for shear. Anchor blade, frame blade, helical blade and screw blade can be used as shown or have additional vertical resistant bars to be made into what is called a gate blade. This blade is excellent for moving high viscosity material in a radial direction and also good for keeping the outer areas of the batch in motion.
